MI vs LKN Dream11 Match Preview

Nothing is going in Mumbai Indians’ favor in IPL 2022. They have lost 5 games in a row and are looking in all sorts as a team. Their team selection has been questionable as well with Tim David whom they bought for 8.25 crores being benched after only two games. Their top order is lacking consistency as Ishan Kishan has failed in three games now while Rohit Sharma has failed to convert his starts. The middle-order is in great form with Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav being in excellent form. Pollard’s form is a big concern for them. 

Bowling has been the main reason for their poor performance. None of the MI bowlers including Jasprit Bumrah has looked threatening and all of them have been very inconsistent and expensive. Tymal Mills and Bumrah have been good in one game while Basil Thampi has been very expensive. Jaydev Unadkat has been average in the two games that he has played. Murugan Ashwin too has been inconsistent. MI need their bowlers to be consistent in the upcoming games.

Lucknow Super Giants have done well till now. They have played 5 games and have won 3 of them. They were defeated by the Rajasthan Royals in a nail biting encounter by 3 runs in their last game. KL Rahul hasn’t been at his best in this season but he is expected to do well when the team needs him the most. Quinton de Kock has been in great form while Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni too have done a good job in the middle-order. Marcus Stoinis looked in excellent form in his first IPL game. Jason Holder is also there alongside Krishnappa Gowtham. Lucknow has a good batting depth and the batters are doing well. 

The bowlers too have done a good job. Jason Holder has been very consistent with the ball while Avesh Khan has been their wicket-taker. Ravi Bishnoi has kept it tight in the middle-overs while Krishnappa Gowtham has been excellent in the first two games. The third pacer has been an issue for them as both Andrew Tye and Dushmantha Chameera have been on the expensive side for them but Chameera bowled well in the last game. Lucknow will look to win this game and move forward in the tournament.
