IPL 2023 Live Streaming Details: When and Where to watch Indian Premier League 2023 live on TV in India and Rest of the world, Squads, Dates, Timings and Venues

IPL's new digital rights partner Viacom18 will be streaming the IPL 2023 live for free on the 'JioCinema' app. The IPL 2023 will be available on television sets across India via multiple challenges provided by host broadcasters Star Sports

The 16th edition of the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL) is about to take centre stage. The start of the Indian summer kicks off the build-up towards IPL 2023, which will witness ten equally competitive franchises battling it out for supremacy and bag the coveted trophy for what is hailed as the toughest T20 crown.

The IPL 2023 is special in more ways than one as it not only witnesses the return of the competition to where it has always belonged but also re-spreads its wings to the nooks and corners of the country. It will be the first edition of the IPL held on a full-fledged home and away basis since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and will be played across 12 cities in India.

Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Dharamsala will be hosting the tournament across the next two months, with Guwahati and Dharamshala acting as co-hosting venues for the home encounters of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), respectively, while the rest of the grounds remain the only home bases for other eight IPL franchises.

The tournament format remains the same like last year. Ten IPL franchises are divided into two groups of five each. Teams will take on their fellow group rivals twice and take on four teams in the other group once. They will have one return criss-cross arrangement with the remaining team. This match-up will be determined via historic results. Teams with equal best finishes will be playing these two games.

Mumbai Indians (MI) will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) twice despite being placed in separate groups since they have won the title five and four times, respectively, for example.

The IPL 2023 groups are such:

Group A – MI, RR, KKR, DC and LSG

Group B – CSK, PBKS, SRH, RCB and GT
