Abhishek Sharma won the Player of the Series award in the Asia Cup for his outstanding batting. He scored 314 runs in seven innings at an average of 44.86 and a strike rate of 200, including three half-centuries. From the start of the tournament, he gave India quick starts in the powerplay and helped build momentum.

He hit 32 fours, the most in the tournament, and 19 sixes, also the highest. His strike rate of 200 was the best among all batters, and he scored three half-centuries, the most in the competition. Except for the final, he scored 30-plus runs in all six other matches.
