Rinku Singh reaches half-century with incredible six over keeper: Watch his ‘God’s Plan’ celebrations

The celebration has been viral because of Rinku’s new tattoo on his forearm which reads ‘God’s Plan’.

Rinku Singh came up with a brand new celebration after completing his half-century during the second T20I against Bangladesh in Delhi. As he hit a six to complete his fifty, he looked towards the pavilion and pointed to his forearm.

Then, he looked to the heavens and thanked God for helping him notch up another terrific half-century. The celebration has been viral because of Rinku’s new tattoo on his forearm which reads ‘God’s Plan’.

It was his first fifty since getting this tattoo, so Rinku must have thought to flaunt it, and he couldn’t have had a better opportunity to do it than now. Rinku has tattooed this to celebrate his five sixes off Yash Dayal during IPL 2023, which changed his life, earning him a name, fame and a national spot.

“I keep saying ‘God’s Plan.’ I designed my tattoo based on that. It’s been a few weeks since I got it. The words ‘God’s Plan’ are written inside a circle, which symbolizes the sun. The main aspect of the tattoo is the representation of the five sixes I hit in the IPL. It changed my life, so I thought I would include them in the tattoo,” stated Rinku about his tattoo.

India posted 221/9 in their first innings

After losing the toss, India were asked to bat first, and they posted a massive 221/9 in the first innings. The start wasn’t as good as they would have expected, as they lost as many as three wickets in the powerplay.

However, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh stabilised the innings and took the attack back on Bangladeshi bowlers. Nitish targeted spinners and raced away to his maiden half-century, scoring 74 runs in 34 balls, including four boundaries and seven maximums.

Meanwhile, Rinku also completed his fifty and scored 53 runs in 29 balls, with the help of five boundaries and three maximums. Hardik Pandya did the finishing job with another fine camo, scoring 32 runs in 19 deliveries, with the help of two boundaries and as many sixes.

It is a massive total for Bangladesh. They will also need a special batting performance to chase down the total.
