Harmanpreet Kaur dropped the easiest of catches of Tahila McGrath on the third delivery of the 12th over off Radha Yadav’s bowling. India’s catching hasn’t been ideal throughout the tournament, and the list just keeps getting longer, with the captain being the latest culprit.
Radha bowled a tossed-up delivery on the off-stump line, and Tahila came down the track, trying to access over the covers. However, she didn’t get the elevation, and the ball flew straight to the fielder, Harmanpreet.
While it was at an ideal height, Harmanpreet threw her hands hard towards the ball, and just before she could close her hands, the ball popped out of her hands in a flash. Probably Harmanpreet didn’t expect the ball to come that quickly, and the ball came earlier than anticipated, which led to a catch drop.

When Harmanpreet Kaur dropped the catch, it looked like a costly drop, for Tahila is a dangerous batter and could cash in with quick runs. However, the drop didn’t cost much for the team as she departed two balls later.
Radha bowled a fuller-length delivery, and Tahila again charged down the track to play a big shot. However, the line was slightly wider, so the batter couldn’t connect it, and the ball went straight to the wicketkeeper, Richa Ghosh,
She collected the ball neatly and dislodged the bails immediately to stump McGrath, giving India a massive wicket of a dangerous batter. Harmanpreet was elated with the breakthrough, for her dropped catch didn’t cost India much.
Tahila was slowly getting into his groove and was set, looking to explode and provide Australia with a brisk finish. However, Radha’s presence of mind to deliberately bowl wider of the off-stump line, for she gauged Tahila was using her feet consistently on the crease.
