Punjab Kings sensation smashes Pakistan pacer near the road with helicopter-flick shot in Emerging Teams Asia Cup [WATCH]

The track was terrific for batting, and Pakistan A bowlers also gave several loose deliveries to enable India A openers to free their arms and get quick boundaries.

A Punjab Kings (PBKS) star hit a mammoth six near the road during the game between India A and Pakistan A in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup. It came right from the middle of the bat and sailed a long way over the boundary.

The right-hand opener of PBKS, Prabhsimran Singh was at his threatening best in the game and timed the ball so sweetly while flexing muscles in between. Zaman Khan bowled a length delivery on the line of the stumps, and Prabhsimran just stood still and flicked it over the deep midwicket region with terrific power.

It was a mini-helicopter shot, and the ball sailed all over the ropes near the road, giving Prabhsimran a massive six. He didn’t overhit it and just used his wrists by rolling it wonderfully to hit it with the line, helping him to get the correct timing.

He also used the depth of the crease by going off the back foot, allowing him to get more time to hit it late. That also played a role in placing the ball over midwicket, for he got ample time to roll his wrists and generate the power.

India A race away to 68 runs in the powerplay

Meanwhile, India A were off to a flyer in the game against Pakistan A in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup, hitting 68 runs during the field restrictions. Two dynamic duo – Prabhsimran Singh and Abhishek Sharma – opened the innings and wreaked havoc from the first ball, taking their chances straightaway.

The track was terrific for batting, and Pakistan A bowlers also gave several loose deliveries to enable India A openers to free their arms and get quick boundaries. That put them under immense pressure as India A hit at least two boundaries in all but one powerplay over, flaunting their range hitting.

Prabhsimran was the aggressor, taking 33 runs from 15 balls in the first six sets. Meanwhile, Abhishek also picked the pace and ended the powerplay on a high with 25 runs.

It was precisely the start India A needed from their openers. They set the stage for big hitters to come and continue hitting boundaries from the first ball.
