Kuldeep has been referred to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for his groin treatment.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced India’s squad on Friday for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, set to begin on November 22nd.
A notable exclusion from the squad is left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who recently played for India in the first Test against New Zealand earlier this month.

The BCCI has explained why Kuldeep Yadav was not selected for the Australia tour. He is dealing with a groin issue, which is likely why he was also left out of the second Test against New Zealand in Pune, where Washington Sundar replaced him. Kuldeep has been referred to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for further treatment.
“Kuldeep Yadav was unavailable for selection for the tour of Australia since he has been referred to the BCCI Centre of Excellence after the end of the ongoing Test series against New Zealand for long term resolution of his chronic left groin issue,” the Board said.
India’s squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy includes three uncapped players: Abhimanyu Easwaran, Harshit Rana, and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Easwaran is likely to make his Test debut if Rohit Sharma is unavailable for the early part of the series, while Rana and Reddy have earned their maiden Test call-ups.
Prasidh Krishna has also been included in the squad. Additionally, India have included Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini, and Khaleel Ahmed as traveling reserves.
