Washington Sundar’s Stunning Form Continues as he cleans up Latham with a Mesmerising Delivery in the Mumbai Test [WATCH]

Washington Sundar has continued his stunning form from the second Test, as he takes the wicket of Tom Latham and Rachin Ravindra on Day 1 of the third Test

In the ongoing third Test match between India and New Zealand in Mumbai, Washington Sundar has continued his impressive form from the second Test, as he takes the wicket of Tom Latham on Day 1 of the Test match.

The incident took place on the last ball of the 16th over. Washington Sundar bowled an excellent delivery that drifted in from off, kept its line and tempted Tom Latham to play a shot. The ball held its line just enough to miss Latham’s outside edge and hit the off stump instead. Sundar celebrated as India took their second wicket. It was the drift of Sundar’s delivery that caught Latham off guard; he played for the line but was outsmarted by Sundar’s clever bowling.

Just a few overs later, on the last ball of the 20th over, Washington Sundar strikes again, this time dismissing Ravindra. In a similar fashion to Latham’s dismissal, Sundar bowled a beautiful delivery that drifted in towards the left-hander. It drew Ravindra forward to defend, but the ball spun just enough to evade his outside edge, crashing into the off stump. Ravindra walked off shaking his head, and Sundar celebrated his second wicket of the Test.

Washington Sundar has continued his impressive form, having taken 11 wickets in the second Test and now adding 2 more to his tally in the third Test.

India takes 3 wickets as New Zealand are 92-3 at the end of the first session on Day 1 of the third Test.

In a crucial third Test, India lost the toss and are bowling first, putting in a strong performance during the first session. Akash Deep claimed the first wicket by dismissing Devon Conway cheaply. Tom Latham and Will Young built a 44-run partnership before Washington Sundar came into the attack. Continuing his excellent form, he took the wickets of Latham and Rachin Ravindra in the 16th and 20th overs, respectively. As the session wraps up, New Zealand are at 92 for 3.
