Bumrah’s Bowling Masterclass Provides Hope After India’s Batting Disaster

In their 1st innings, India were bowled out for just 150 on Day 1 of the Perth Test after opting to bat first, with tea taken immediately after their dismissal. The Australian bowlers exploited the pitch’s movement, making life difficult for the Indian batsmen. Josh Hazlewood was the standout performer, taking four wickets, while the other pacers chipped in with two wickets each.

India started the morning session carefully, trying to get through the tough conditions, but Australia kept up the pressure. The only positive for India came after lunch when Rishabh Pant played some attacking shots. He teamed up with debutant Nitish Reddy to add 48 runs for the seventh wicket. Other than that, India had little to feel good about.

At the time of writing, Australia’s first innings stands at 30-3, with their top three batsmen dismissed cheaply. Jasprit Bumrah was the star with the ball, taking all three wickets and showcasing his brilliance.
