Gujarat Titans have blended youth and experience to bolster their batting and overall squad depth.
With the IPL 2025 auction underway, Gujarat Titans (GT) have a clear strategy, keeping five key players who are the backbone of their team.
Earlier, Gujarat Titans retained a strong mix, investing in young but talented players like captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, along with international star Rashid Khan. They’ve also focused on strengthening the middle and lower-order batting by retaining uncapped players Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia.
Gujarat began their IPL 2025 auction by securing Kagiso Rabada for INR 10.75 crores. They followed it up by acquiring Jos Buttler for INR 15.75 crores. Then they bought Mohammed Siraj for INR 12.25 crores.

GT spent INR 51 crore of their INR 120 crore budget on retentions, leaving them with INR 69 crore to bolster their squad in the auction. With only one Right to Match (RTM) card, their strategy will focus on selecting players who complement the retained squad and aim for a much stronger season than the previous one.
