The Royals have retained a strong group of Indian players.
Rajasthan Royals have always been a top-performing side although the trophy has remained elusive for some time. Nevertheless, the Sanju Samson-led side are fierce competitors and are a strong contender for the title.
The RR management will be hoping to make the right additions to their jigsaw and concoct a team that can punch above their weight.

Rajasthan Royals, however, entered the IPL 2025 auction with the lowest purse remaining among all ten franchises as they retained a strong group of Indian players along with Shimron Hetmyer as their overseas star.
As expected, they sat patiently for the longest time and focussed on bolstering their bowling attack. RR’s first splurge was on England speedster Jofra Archer. Notably, Archer had made his debut in the IPL with RR back in 2018. The RR management also roped in Indian pacer Akash Madhwal.
In the spin department, the Royals have added Sri Lankan spin duo of Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga along with the Indian left-arm orthodox Kumar Kartikeya Singh.
