CSK and Mumbai Indians Players Involved in Match-defining 130-run Partnership in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

The deck suited their natural strokeplay, and the duo took full advantage of nice batting conditions.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) stars starred in their team’s latest Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixture by performing exceptionally well with the willow. They batted brilliantly and formed a big partnership to help their team post a big total on the board in the first innings.

While playing for Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube scored big runs against Services in Hyderabad. Suryakumar compiled 70 runs in 46 deliveries, including seven boundaries and four maximums, at a strike rate of 152.17.

Meanwhile, Shivam accumulated 71 runs in 36 balls, comprising two boundaries and seven maximums, at a strike rate of 191.89. The duo stitched a crucial 130-run stand in 66 balls for the fourth wicket, and the partnership came at a brisk rate to help Mumbai thrive on a nice batting deck.

These two have been a vital member of Mumbai’s domestic white-ball teams and again proved their worth when their team required a good partnership at a decent rate. The deck suited their natural strokeplay, and the duo took full advantage of nice batting conditions.

Mumbai post 192/4 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first

After winning the toss, Services opted to field first and were off to a fine start with the ball. They dismissed Prithvi Shaw on just the third delivery of the over, dismissing him on a 3-ball duck in the first set.

Later, Services also dismissed Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane before they could get going with the willow. Both got decent starts and should converted them into a big score, but Services bowlers did well to cut their innings short just at the right time.

However, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube came to the rescue and provided stability to the innings while also playing big shots at the same time. The two were brilliant in the middle and ensured taking Mumbai to a big total of 192/4.

While Suryakumar was dismissed in the final over, Dube remained unbeaten till the end and carried his team through. Mumbai have a solid bowling attack and would fancy their chances to defend the total.
