The bidding saw fierce competition from Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants, with Punjab briefly holding the highest bid at INR 5.50 crore before Delhi used their Right to Match (RTM) card.
When Punjab raised their bid to INR 9 crore, Delhi exercised their RTM again to secure Fraser-McGurk. A vital player for the Capitals in previous seasons, he will now return as a key part of the team and is expected to feature prominently in the playing XI for IPL 2025.
Delhi Capitals acquired Harry Brook for INR 6.25 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. The young and talented batter is highly regarded for his ability to tackle both pace and spin, making him a versatile and promising asset.
Brook was initially signed by Delhi for INR 4 crore in the IPL 2024 auction after being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad but missed the season due to personal reasons.
