'Nipple before wicket' - RCB make weird DRS call and nearly gets Suryakumar Yadav out off Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel produced a masterclass of death bowling against Mumbai Indians on Saturday night, but Suryakumar Yadav's composed finish helped Mumbai Indians post 151 on board.

Harshal Patel conceded just seven runs in the final over against Suryakumar Yadav and Mumbai Indians, but this incident happened in the 18th over.

Suryakumar Yadav and Harshal Patel engaged in an interesting duel on Saturday night in the RCB v MI game, but the highlight of the head-to-head was an interesting DRS call made by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Harshal Patel generating incredible dip off his slower deliveries is well documented now, but in this particular instance, the RCB bowler bowled one that dipped so much that Suryakumar Yadav was completely befuddled by it.

The slower full toss in the 18th over dipped, beat Suryakumar Yadav's bat, and smashed straight into his chest. Even as the Mumbai batter stood slightly dazed, RCB players got together to ponder a review.

In a bizarre sequence of events, RCB's review was taken upstairs by the onfield umpire and multiple replays rolled in as fans zoomed in to catch a glimpse of what really happened. The ball had swerved in the air and dipped past Suryakumar's bat and crashed into his chest. The batter was crouched in his stance while trying to scoop the ball and as such in line with the wickets.
