Dotball Fantasy Tips: Chennai v Delhi – Delhi poised for first ever final appearance
Is Watson worth a punt again? Should you have Prithvi Shaw as captain or Rishabh Pant? All your fantasy queries answered.

The Vizag track looked to have something in it for both batsmen and bowlers in the last game and it should behave similarly again with something in it for the spinners.
Chennai were humbled by Mumbai in their own backyard while Delhi brushed Hyderabad aside with panache. The second qualifier is always an interesting contest with one of each sides guaranteed to come into this on the back of a win and a loss. Given how closely they have been matched all season and looking at their late season flourish Delhi would appear to be holding all the cards as they take on Chennai in a quest for their first ever final in the tournament. Chennai are no strangers to the final having been there just last season and they are not strangers to losing the qualifier and getting a second go either. But this will be a game where Delhi, even without Kagiso Rabada, will feel like having the better bowling attack of the two teams - the fatigue of a long season seems to have caught up with Chennai even though their spinners still seem to be doing alright. It is the batting that concerns Chennai the most, the top order hasn’t really fired lately and even the middle order has been reliant mostly on MS Dhoni. It will require some aggressive batting to tackle a Delhi side that has quite a few big hitters of its own and all of them look in good touch.
Fantasy Tips and Pointers
Shane Watson has struggled again but it looks like Faf Du Plessis might be the batsman to watch at the top. He has 320 runs in the season and has often got starts. It’s just a question of him converting one of those into a big knock. Meanwhile, Delhi’s top 4 have an incredible 1600+ runs between them but you may want to pay attention to players such as Colin Munro who might be needed as a finisher on Friday night. On the bowling side, the Chennai spinners are a must pick but Keemo Paul might surprise again like he did the last game and Ishant Sharma’s consistency makes him a good candidate too.

Dotball Prediction XIs:
Preferred team for Dotball Head to Head / Small Contests:
Wicket-Keeper: Rishabh Pant
Batsmen: Suresh Raina, Faf du Plessis, Shreyas Iyer
All-Rounders: Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel
Bowlers: Ishant Sharma, Keemo Paul, Imran Tahir, Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar
Captain: Rishabh Pant has been batting like a dream with 450 runs already in the bag and has the momentum with him.
Vice-captain: Imran Tahir might enjoy these conditions given how fellow leg spinner Rashid Khan performed here against Delhi on Wednesday.
Preferred team for Dotball Rumble / Grand Contests:
Batsmen: Ambati Rayudu, Shikar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw
All-rounders: Dwayne Bravo, Axar Patel
Bowlers: Amit Mishra, Keemo Paul, Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult
Captain: Shikhar Dhawan has been looking to explode with a big playoff knock and this might just be his best chance.
Vice-Captain: If your Dhawan wager doesnt pay off it would likely be because of Deepak Chahar, who has 17 wickets and an economy of 8 and might hold the key if Chennai are to win this.
