The fourth match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be played between India women and New Zealand women. The match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on 4th October 2024. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST.
India women have been in good form as a team in recent times. They have a much better squad compared to the last Women’s T20 World Cup with quite a few players doing really well from the current squad. Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Renuka Singh Thakur & Pooja Vastrakar are the key players for the Indian team. They’ll be eyeing a win their first game of the tournament.
New Zealand women, on the other hand, have been quite average as a side lately. They are over-dependent on the likes of Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates with the bat. They have good bowlers in their ranks but the batters need to assist them well in this tournament. The White Ferns will have to perform as a team if they are to win this game.
India Women: Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (wk), Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, Renuka Singh Thakur, Sobhana Asha

The pitch at Dubai is expected to be a good one for batting There will be something for the pacers with the new ball and the spinners will get some purchase as well. Dew will be a factor here so expect teams to chase if they win the toss. Expect scores in the range of 130-150 in this match.
It will be a clear day with no chance of rain. The temperature will hover around 33-34 degrees Celsius and humidity will be around 60% during the game.
Shafali Verma (IN-W)
Sophie Devine (NZ-W)
Pooja Vastrakar (IN-W)
Amelia Kerr (NZ-W)
Deepti Sharma (IN-W)
Smriti Mandhana (IN-W)
She has 495 runs at an average of 45 and a strike rate of 122.80 including 4 fifties in 14 matches this year.
Isabella Gaze (NZ-W)
Isabella Gaze will bat in the middle order for the White Ferns. She is a decent pick fantasy-wise and did well in one of the warm-up matches but there are a lot of better picks with much better fantasy value compared to her. She will be our player to avoid.
India women are looking much more balanced as a team compared to New Zealand women. Suzie Bates, Amelia Kerr and Sophie Devine are not in the best of forms with the bat which is a big concern for the White Ferns. India women should win this match.
