This will be the third and final match of the ODI series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium will host this game, which will be played at 2:30 PM IST on November 19th, 2024. Sri Lanka has already won the series.
Sri Lanka won the last match by 3 wickets thanks to a resilient effort from Kusal Mendis. The bowlers made full use of the conditions and restricted New Zealand to just 209 runs. Sri Lanka also lost quite a few wickets but Maheesh Theekshana assisted Mendis quite well to see the hosts over the line.
Meanwhile, New Zealand will be disappointed after the defeat in the last game. The bowlers tried hard but it all went in vain. Batting has been a big concern for the visitors on this tour. Mark Chapman (76 runs) was the only batter who did well. Mitch Hay also scored 49 runs. New Zealand will be eager for a win in this last match of the tour.

The conditions were on the slower side in the second ODI. Run scoring was quite demanding. It’s expected to be similar in this match too. Spinners will get ample help off the deck. The pacers too will get some movement with the new ball. Teams may prefer chasing with rain forecasted.
The temperature will be 28 degrees Celsius at the start of the match. Rain is expected to interfere in this match as well.

Sri Lanka will be the favourites to win this game despite resting their top batters. The Kiwis have struggled to bat against the Lankan bowlers and Sri Lanka has good depth in their squad with both bat and ball. It’s expected to be a closely fought contest with Sri Lanka emerging victorious.
