The 5th Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) of the 2024 season will be played between Sydney Sixers women and Adelaide Strikers women. Sydney Sixers won their first game and the Strikers are coming off a loss in their first game. The match will be played at the North Sydney Oval in Sydney. The match will start at12:40 PM IST on 28th October.
Sydney Sixers defeated the Renegades by 3 wickets in their first game. Ellyse Perry showed her class and led from the front. Sophie Ecclestone, Hollie Armitage and Sarah Bryce also contributed to the win.
On the other hand, Adelaide Strikers women lost their first game by 4 wickets against Brisbane Heat. The batters failed to get going and an under-par score was the reason for their poor performance. Tahlia McGrath and Katie Mack did well with the bat. Megan Schutt was also impressive.

The pitch at the North Sydney Oval is an excellent one for batting. The ball will come onto the bat nicely and the batters will enjoy their time on the crease. The ground dimensions are on the smaller side as well. Expect a high-scoring encounter. Scores in the range of 160-180 are expected. Teams will prefer chasing.
It will be a clear day with no chance of rain. The temperature will hover around 19-21 degrees Celsius and humidity will be around 60% during the game.
