Prediction for BLR vs mi Dream11 Contest - Playing XI, Injury Updates, Pitch and Weather report for the clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians in Match 18 of the IPL 2022 season.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on the Mumbai Indians in the 18th game of IPL 2022. RCB have won 2 out of 3 matches and are at the 6th position in the points table while Mumbai has lost all the three games and is at the second last position.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are in excellent form and have won two matches on a trot. They earlier defeated KKR in the second last match by 3 wickets and Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets in the last game. Dinesh Kathik is the hero for both the victories as he has played superbly and took his side over the line in both the occasions. Glenn Maxwell’s return will add to their batting strength and will stabilize the middle-order.
RCB top order has failed to perform as Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli couldn’t score after performing well in the first game while Anuj Rawat has been average in all the games. Sherfane Rutherford has failed very badly as well. Dinesh Karthik did well in all the matches while Shahbaz Amed played a match winning knock in the last game. The bowlers have done a great job as Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammad Sirah, Harshal Patel, Akash Deep and David Willey have been very consistent with the ball. RCB will look to continue on the winning track and win this game as well.
Mumbai Indians have failed miserably in the 3 games they’ve played so far. Inconsistency in the batting unit and an ineffective performance from the bowlers is the main reason for the poor performance. Rohit Sharma is yet to play a big knock in IPL 2022 while Ishan Kishan failed after scoring in the first two games. Suryakumar Yadav’s return and Tilak Verma are the two pillars of the MI batting unit alongside Ishan Kishan at the top. Kieron Pollard too needs to be consistent with the bat. Dewald Brevis showed a lot of potential in his first game. There aren’t a lot of concerns in the MI batting unit.
The bowlers have failed in all the matches so far. Jasprit Bumrah bowled well against Rajasthn but was taken to the cleaners in the other two games. Tymal Mills have been decent but other than these two none of the bowlers have performed well. Basil Thampi and Daniel Sams have gone for plenty of runs. Murugan Ashwin too has been up and down with the ball. Mumbai will have to put in a team performance to do well in this game and going ahead in the tournament.

The wicket at Pune has been overall good for batting. The pitch is a bit two paced in the first innings with the spinners coming into the play as well and it becomes very easy to bat on as the dew starts to settle. The average first innings score here is 180 runs in IPL 2022. There will be some movement with the new ball for the pacers. Chasing sides have won 21 matches out of 40. Teams are expected to bowl first after winning the toss.
