CSK vs DC Dream11 Match Preview

Chennai Super Kings have struggled badly in this season. Couple of their main bowlers got ruled out of the tournament due to injury and that has hurt them big time. They lost their last game by 13 runs against RCB. They have won 2 matches out of 10 and are at the 9th position. Their openers have been excellent in the last two games and that’s the biggest positive for them. The middle-order has been very inconsistent and that’s one main reason for their poor performance. Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu need to perform consistently. Moeen Ali’s return will boost their batting strength. Ravindra Jadeja’s lean patch with the bat is another big concern for the Super Kings.  

Their bowlers have been good on days and otherwise have been below average. They have an inexperienced pace attack at the moment with Mukesh Choudhary and Simarjeet Singh. Dwayne Bravo’s injury has worsened things for them. Maheesh Theekshana has been their best bowler. Dwanie Pretorius has been very expensive but he has bowled decently. The bowlers will have to give their all in the remaining matches to keep the slightest of hopes alive for CSK.

Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, too have been little inconsistent but their last win against the Sunrisers by 21 runs will boost their confidence. David Warner has been phenomenal and has emerged as their best batter in this season. Prithvi Shaw started off well but has failed in the last few matches. Mitchell Marsh has been very attacking at number 3 and is looking in good touch. Rishabh Pant has failed to convert the starts into big scores and he’ll look to do that in this game. Rovman Powell has been excellent as their finisher as he is hitting sixes for fun at the moment. 

They didn’t have their strongest bowling attack in the last game but the bowlers did a good job. Kuldeep Yadav has been exceptional as he has picked wickets in heaps. Shardul Thakur has been inconsistent but has bowled well when the team has required. Anrich Nortje came back in the last game and looked in good rhythm while Khaleel Ahmed has been their best pacer so far. Delhi will be high on confidence and will look to continue their winning momentum.
