Matabeleland Tuskers will be against the Mid West Rhinos in the second match of the Zimbabwe Domestic T20 competition.
Matabeleland Tuskers finished in 4th position in the Pro50 Championship 2021-22. They won 3 matches and lost 5 after playing 8 matches. Tuskers have some of the biggest stars of the ZImbabwe international side in Sean Williams and Craig Ervine and they also have some of the young stars in Luke Jongwe and Brian Chari. They have a strong line-up and will look to do well in this 20-over competition.
Mid West Rhino, on the other hand, had a horrible Pro50 Championship as they were at the bottom (5th) of the points table. They managed to win only one match and lost 7 in the 8 games that they played. They have a relatively younger squad with a lot of young and talented players. Ryan Burl is the only big name in this side but they have a lot of potential and will look to start their campaign with a win under their belt.
Match: Matabeleland Tuskers vs Mid West Rhinos, Match 2, Zimbabwe Domestic T20 Competition
Venue: Takashinga Sports Club, Harare, Zimbabwe
Date and Time: 24th March 2022, Thursday, 5:00 PM IST
This will be a neutral wicket at the Takashinga Sports Club. The new ball will move a little and the spinners will get some turn as the game progresses. Batters will enjoy their time too as the dimensions of this ground are on the smaller side. Overall it will be a good pitch to bat on. Teams are expected to win the toss and chase.
The Matabeleland Tuskers clearly have the upper hand against the Mid West Rhinos. Tuskers’ squad looks more balanced than the Rhinos and they will be the probable winners of this match.
