Both Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders are coming off a defeat from their last respective games and will be eyeing a win in this match. RR have played 5 games and won 3 while KKR have won 3 matches out of 6. 

Rajasthan Royals have played well till now. Jos Buttler has been exceptional at the top. Shimron Hetmyer has been super consistent in finishing the innings for RR. All the other batters have failed and this is a big concern for the Royals. Sanju Samson is getting starts but he’s throwing them away. Devdutt Padikkal has failed in the last three games while the other batters have failed miserably and RR will look to rectify that.

Their bowlers have done a great job till now. Yuzvendra Chahal has been outstanding alongside Trent Boult. Kuldeep Sen has been impressive as well. Prasidh Krishna has been hot and cold. Ravichandran Ashwin hasn’t picked a lot of wickets but he has been very economical. Rajasthan is lacking someone who bats at number 7 and can give an over or two with the ball. But, overall, they’ve been quite good on the field.

Kolkata Knight Riders lost their last match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets. Their top order has failed miserably in the tournament so far and it’s a big issue for them. Venkatesh Iyer has failed in all the games except one match while they tried Ajinkya Rahane for 5 games and brought in Aaron Finch in the last who failed to get going as well. Andre Russell is the only consistent batter for KKR and others need to assist him well. 

KKR’s bowlers have been decent till now but they’ve gone for plenty of runs in the last two games. Umesh Yadav has failed to pick early wickets in the last two games while Pat Cummins has been very expensive. Varun Chakravarthy went for a lot in the last match. Sunil Narine has been economical while Andre Russell has been amongst wickets whenever he has bowled.
