Victoria Women battle ACT Meteors in the third game of the WNCL 2019. The Meteors finished in fourth place last year while their opponents finished in fifth position, one place below them in the standings. This is the first fixture for both the sides in this year’s tournament and they will look to make a winning start to the new campaign.
Rain Showers are predicted throughout the day thus the likelihood of a full game taking place looks very bleak at the moment.
It will be a difficult surface to get runs on as there will be a considerable amount of movement on offer for the pacers with the new ball, which should test the batsmen’s resolve and technique.
Sophie Molineux will miss the game due to injury.

Victoria will miss a number of it’s experienced personnel as Meg Lanning, Ellyse Perry and Georgia Wareham have been rested ahead of Australia’s home series against Sri Lanka. In their absence,Nicole Faltum is a dependable presence behind the stumps and the onus will lie on her to contribute duly with the bat in hand. Skipper Molly Strano will be expected to tighten things up and pick up a couple of wickets in the middle stages of the innings.
