3 Uncapped Players who will be in High Demand at the IPL 2025 auction

Several quality Indian players take the IPL stage by storm every year, with a few sealing a spot in the team.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is known for giving a platform to unknown but talented players. Several quality Indian players take the IPL stage by storm every year, with a few sealing a spot in the team.

Even in the previous cycle, several fresh faces showcased their superior expertise and stamped their authority in the league. However, several franchises removed their uncapped players ahead of the auction.

Hence, the quality in this category will be at an all-time high. Let’s pin down three uncapped players who will be in high demand during the IPL 2025 auction.

Ashutosh Sharma

Among the biggest positives last season, Ashutosh Sharma aced the toughest role in T20 cricket. He batted in the lower order and took on the best pacers with ease, showing why he is rated so highly.

While Punjab Kings (PBKS) have released him, several teams will go after him, for they will get a solid Indian batter who can provide impetus to the innings in the lower order without wasting an overseas slot. Further, he will be a long-term investment, something teams look for in a mega auction.

Nehal Wadhera

Nehal Wadhera was among the biggest positives for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the previous cycle. However, MI didn’t retain him in the uncapped category, probably because he wanted to come into the auction and see how much he gets.

Nehal is a solid player of pace and spin who can bat anywhere in the middle order, which is a bonus. He will only improve from here on and will be a match-winner in the coming times, so franchises might be ready to spend additional cash on him.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Playing in a victorious team, Angkrish Raghuvanshi showcased why he is touted as the next big thing with his superior skillsets. He scored 163 runs at an average of 23.28 and a strike rate of 155.23 in seven innings, including a fifty.

He is generally a top-order batter who can bat in different gears and has all those cricketing shots to succeed in any condition. Angkrish, 19, will also be a long-term investment and can serve any team for years to come, making him an ideal package for the mega auction.
