According to him, when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their final league game, which ended their chances of qualifying for playoffs, MS punched a screen in frustration.
“I was watching from upstairs and saw that they were celebrating, (CSK) had formed up in a line to shake hands with them. It took them a little while and by the time RCB were done with their celebration (Dhoni) went back inside and he punched a screen that comes before you reach the dressing room. It’s ok; this happens in sports,” stated Harbhajan on Sports Yaari.
His statement went viral quickly, and it was all over the internet. A calm and composed personality like Dhoni breaking the TV sounded surprising, but Harbhajan was sure of his claims.
Even the post-match affair was bizarre, for MS walked away without shaking hands with RCB players, which caught everyone’s attention. Hence, people believed in Harbhajan’s statement immediately, but now a new development has emerged in the same incident.
CSK physio denies any incident of MS breaking the screen
Tommy Simsek, CSK’s physio, has quashed Harbhajan’s statement, confirming MS didn’t break any screen after the conclusion of the game. He termed it “absolutely rubbish”.
“This is absolute Rubbish! MSD did not break anything and I have never seen him aggressive after any match. Fake news!” Simsek said in a reply to an Instagram post.

It remains to be seen whether Harbhajan will come up with a new development, for his statement created ample chaos across social media platforms, given the person was MS Dhoni. Usually, Dhoni is very composed and never loses his calm because he has been part of several heartbreaking defeats throughout his illustrious cricketing career.
Many also believed this defeat was the end of his IPL career, but Dhoni is probably returning as an uncapped player in IPL 2025, even though there’s no confirmation from anyone inside the group. Fans and viewers would want him to return and finish his IPL career on a high.
