3 overseas players – Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, and Rashid Khan – look all set to start for the Titans. Only the fourth overseas slot is up for grabs and it depends on what combination Gujarat want to go with. They can get in Gerald Coetzee to form an overseas pace bowling pair with Rabada. But they will need to slot inexperienced player like Mahipal Lomror at No.4 then. So, it will be better for them to go with an experienced player like Sherfane Rutherford or Glenn Phillips in their middle order and pick an Indian pacer like Prasidh Krishna instead.
