MI are known for having an excellent scouting network.
Indian Premier League (IPL) heavyweights Mumbai Indians (MI) are known for having an excellent scouting network and for unearthing talents who have gone on to become future superstars. From the likes of Hardik Pandya to Jasprit Bumrah amongst others – MI have always given a platform to budding talents and cultivated their craft guided by a rich team of experts and former players.
Echoing on the same lines, current franchise skipper Hardik Pandya shared an inspirational message for the new batch of youngsters joining the team after being bought in the recent IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Notably, Hardik himself joined the MI family in 2015 as an unknown commodity but has since grown in stature, evolving into one of the world’s premier all-rounders.
Pandya again made a homecoming to MI last year after leaving for Gujarat Titans back in IPL 2022.
Speaking in a video shared by MI on their social media handles, Pandya said,
“My message to all the young guns who are joining Mumbai Indians this year is that if you are here, you have that spark, you have that talent, which the scouts have seen. They found me, they found Jasprit, they found Krunal, they found Tilak. They all eventually played for the country. All you have to do is show up, train, work hard, and the best part is that Mumbai Indians has the facility to make them flourish.”
While MI decided to splurge on retaining their top stars like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yada, Tilak Varma and Jasprit Bumrah, they also ensured to rope in promising young talents in the likes of Robin Minz, Naman Dhir, Bevan John Jacobs and Raj Angad Bawa amongst others in the IPL 2025 auction.
