CSK are also the defending champions after they defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final last season. The upcoming is set to be a 10-team affair after teams from Lucknow and Ahmedabad joined. As many as 590 players will go under the hammer in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
