Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Shimron Hetmyer have been very consistent with the bat. Devdutt Padikkal too has done well. Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Aswin, Prasidh Krishna, and Trent Boult are doing well with the ball. Buttler scored the first century of IPL 2022 in the last game against MI. Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, have won 1 match and lost one. They are at the 7th position in the points table. RCB were outplayed by the Punjab Kings in their first game but they defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders in a close encounter in their second game. Anuj Rawat and skipper Faf du Plessis will open the innings. Both looked in good touch in their first game and went out cheaply in the second one. Virat Kohli too scored 41 in the first game but got out after scoring a couple of boundaries in the second one.
RCB’s middle-order is a concern for them as Sherfane Rutherford will bat at number 4 for them and he didn’t get his timing right at all in the last game. DInesh Karthik is their finisher and has been in good form in both the games. Their bowlers did a great job against KKR. Harshal Patel, Mohmmad Siraj, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Akash Deep have been in good form with the ball. David Willey too has been economical with the new ball. RCB will look to continue on the winning track and win this match.
