With the IPL 2025 auction underway, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have entered with a clear strategy, keeping six players who are key to their squad’s foundation.

KKR began their IPL 2025 auction by re-signing Venkatesh Iyer for a remarkable INR 23.75 crores, making it the third-highest bid of the IPL 2025 auction.

KKR spent INR 69 crore of their INR 120 crore budget on retentions, leaving them with INR 51 crore to strengthen their squad in the auction. Without RTM cards, they will focus on signing players who complement their retained players, with hopes of another successful season.
