Lucknow Super Giants will challenge the Chennai Super Kings in the seventh match of the Indian Premier League 2022.
Lucknow Super Giants had a rather unwanted start in the IPL as they lost the game by 5 wickets against the Gujarat Titans. They had a poor start with the bat as the likes of KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, and Manish Pandey were sent back early. Their middle order did a great job and it was a great sign for them going ahead in the tournament.
Lucknow has a lot of all-round options in their side and will expect them to do well with both bat and the ball. The star studded top order needs to fire for them to perform well in IPL 2022. Lucknow Super Giants will be eyeing their first IPL win in this game but it will be very difficult as they are against the mighty Chennai Super Kings.
Chennai Super Kings too didn’t have a great start to their campaign as they lost their first game by 6 wickets against the Kolkata Knight Riders. CSK batters failed to get going except MS Dhoni and they posted a below average total of just 131 runs.
Batting depth is CSK’s biggest strength and they will expect most of their batters to chip in with the runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway will have to give them a good start. The bowlers did a great job as Dwayne Bravo picked up 3 wickets while Adam Milne and Tushar Deshpande also bowled well. The likes of Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, and Ravindra Jadeja need to click with the bat for the champions to defend their title.
