Mumbai Indians waited out the marquee set and a few others after that as they seemed intent on the right players. In the end, their first buy was a whopping 12.5 crores for New Zealand quick Trent Boult.
The core group of players are a good mix of experienced Indian stars and will help MI have a solid base team before they head into the IPL 2025 auction.

Earlier, MI spent ₹75 crore on some big retentions, leaving Mumbai Indians with ₹45 crore remaining to assemble the rest of their squad and one RTM card to utilize, which they later used on Naman Dhir.
