The 15th match of IPL 2022 has gotten off to a great start thanks to Prithvi Shaw who has made the Delhi Capitals to start fantastic in the powerplay. The team is also happy with the arrival of David Warner who would boost the Capital's batting line-up. He along with Shaw were required to start-off well and that is what has exactly happened.

They were 27-0 in three overs and that is when Prithvi started to take control on his own hands. Avesh Khan who was bowling the third over of the match was struck with three consecutive boundaries by Shaw. The first one was on the off-side while the second four was cut away with such elegance. Avesh then tried to bowl short but Prithvi capitalized on that by striking over the top of the short third man to get the third consecutive boundary.

This is not the first time that Prithvi Shaw has struck as many as boundaries in the same over of the IPL as he struck six fours in a single over during the 2021 edition of the IPL against the Kolkata Knight Riders. His aggressive batting style reminds of the great Virender Sehwag who would play in the same nature during his days. Making the most out of powerplay will benefit the team and that is what exactly Prithvi did or trying to do in every single game.

His hard hitting even made the returning David Warner stand at the non-striker end for a very long time. Prithvi Shaw after managing to complete his half-century was unfortunately dismissed for 61 when he chased a wide ball by Gautham which ultimately led to De Kock taking the catch. He has however given the start that the Capitals were looking for but Delhi has to wait till the end of the match to see if his dismissal would prove costly or not.
