Newly Recruited RCB Speedster and MI All-Rounder Shine With the Ball To Help Their Team Win in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

These two players were bought at a decent amount and will play a crucial role next season.

A newly recruited Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) speedster bowled exceptionally well in his team’s latest Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game. The bowler is touted as highly skilled and has shown why he fetched a handsome amount from the Challengers during the IPL 2025 auction.

Rasikh Dar Salam snared three wickets for 30 runs in his four-over spell against Manipur to disrupt their batting unit. He dismissed three crucial batters – Ulenyai Khwairakpam, Sanatombaroy Laiphangbam, and Chingakham Bidash – during his spell to restrict Manipur to a mere 110/8 in their allotted 20 overs.

He was the best bowler for his team and picked the most wickets to earn the Player of the Match award in a winning cause. He was economical and among wickets, making him a double threat for the opponent.

His marvellous spell ensured Jammu and Kashmir registered a nail-biting 2-wicket victory, chasing the total in 19.4 overs. Rasikh didn’t come to bat, for he was slotted at the last position, but his bowling efforts were enough to earn a victory for Jammu and Kashmir on a tricky deck.

Naman Dhir shines with the ball by taking five wickets

Meanwhile, Naman Dhir, bought for a heavy sum of INR 5.25 crores by Mumbai Indians (MI) shined with the ball during the fixture between Punjab and Hyderabad. While he is mostly known for his batting expertise and big shots, Naman brought a fabulous bowling performance to script a close victory for his team.

He took five wickets for 19 runs in his four-over spell to emerge as the best bowler of the game. Hyderabad were cruising to the target of 197, but Naman’s spell derailed their innings as they fell short by seven runs.

He won the Player of the Match award for his match-winning spell, during which Naman dismissed big batters. He couldn’t make a big impact with the ball, scoring only nine runs in 11 balls, but he covered it up with his bowling returns.

Naman’s improved bowling returns would provide MI with more bowling options during the game next season. He will act as an all-rounder for his team.
