Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer wreaks havoc in Emerging Teams Asia Cup; takes 3 wickets for 15 runs against UAE [WATCH]

His spell broke the back of UAE’s innings, which went nowhere while batting in the first dig.

A Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer starred with the ball during India A’s latest game in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, wreaking havoc in just two overs. He is touted as one of the most exciting bowlers in the domestic arena for his sharp bowling and again stepped up against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Rasikh Salam, the right-arm pacer of Jammu and Kashmir, snared three wickets with the ball during the 8th match of the tournament against UAE, making himself unplayable. He conceded only 15 runs in two overs and dismissed Nilansh Keswani, Vishnu Sukumaran, and Syed Haider Shah.

His spell broke the back of UAE’s innings, which went nowhere while batting in the first dig. He started his spell with three wickets in the first over, including two on the first two deliveries before dismissing another batter on the fifth ball of the same set.

Later, in the second over, he conceded ten runs without taking any wickets, but the common thing was that he bowled with pace and agitated batters in both overs. He always had that pace to cramp batters and bowled to full-tilt, ending as the most successful bowler of the game.

India A restricted UAE to a mere 107 after being asked to bowl first

After winning the toss, UAE opted to bat first, but the decision didn’t turn out to be fruitful as Indian bowlers were on the money from the first ball. Anshul Kamboj started off with a big wicket in the first over, and the wicket-falling continued throughout the innings.

Vaibhav Arora dismissed Aryansh Sharma in the next over as both UAE openers returned to the hut inside ten balls. Later, Rasikh Salam’s spell was the final nail in the coffin, and UAE never recovered after their losing main in quick successions.

Rahul Chopra played a fighting knock of 50 runs in as many deliveries, including two boundaries and three maximums, at a strike rate of 100. The captain, Basil Hameed, also played a decent 22-run hand in 12 balls, with the help of a boundary and two maximums.

Barring Rasikh, who took three wickets, Ramandeep Singh also bowled well and dismissed two batters for seven runs in two overs. UAE could only reach 107 and were all-out in 16.5 overs.
