Rajasthan Royals entered the IPL 2025 auction with the lowest purse remaining among all ten franchises as they retained a strong group of Indian players along with Shimron Hetmyer as their overseas star.

IPL 2025 Auction – Day 1
As expected, they sat patiently for the longest time and focussed on bolstering their bowling attack. RR’s first splurge was on England speedster Jofra Archer. Notably, Archer had made his debut in the IPL with RR back in 2018. The RR management also roped in Indian pacer Akash Madhwal.
In the spin department, the Royals have added Sri Lankan spin duo of Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga along with the Indian left-arm orthodox Kumar Kartikeya Singh.
IPL 2025 Auction – Day 2
RR began their first business of the day with the signing of talented top-order batter Nitish Rana and then roped in promising India pacer Tushar Deshpande. 30-year-old Indian batter Shubham Dubey was their next buy on Day 2.
RR also added two more overseas stars in Proteas young pacer Kwena Maphaka and Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi.
