Italian player at Mumbai Indians franchise, England veteran among shockers in registered players list for IPL 2025 auction

A total of 1165 Indian players have registered for the auction, while South Africa (91) have the most registered players among non-Indian teams.

The list of registered players for the IPL 2025 auction is out, and it includes several shocking names. Among them is a retired English legend and an Italian player who has gained some experience after playing in a few T20 leagues.

James Anderson, who retired from international cricket earlier this year, is among the most notable names and has kept his base price at INR 1.25 crores. Thomas Draca, an Italian player, picked by MI Emirates in ILT20, is another surprising name on the list.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes has not registered his name as he will manage his workload as he looks to remain fit for an away Ashes. He sustained a hamstring injury in The Hundred 2024 and was out for two months before returning to action on the Pakistan tour.
