Former RCB batter grabs eyeballs ahead of IPL 2025 auction with double hundred in Ranji Trophy

After scoring a century in his previous match against Hyderabad, former RCB player Mahipal Lomror carried his form in the match against Uttarakhand.

In the Ranji Trophy Group B match at Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun, Mahipal Lomror delivered an outstanding performance, scoring a double century against Uttarakhand.

After scoring a century in his previous match against Hyderabad, former RCB player Mahipal Lomror carried his form in the match against Uttarakhand. Coming in at No. 3 following the early dismissal of Abhijeet Tomar at 23-1, Lomror anchored the innings by building partnerships with Ram Chouhan and Zubair Ali Khan.

Despite captain Deepak Hooda falling cheaply, Lomror formed a solid partnership with Karthik Sharma, and together they took Rajasthan to 362-4 by stumps on day 1, with Lomror unbeaten on 141* and Kartik on 101*.

On Day 2, Lomror continued to dominate, reaching a magnificent double century and is still at the crease, unbeaten on 251* off 318 balls, with 23 fours and 9 sixes.

This double ton not only boosts his confidence after the recent century but also comes at a perfect time with the IPL auction less than two weeks away, potentially raising his stock among franchises.

Lomror’s strong domestic form signals to franchises that he is in top form, potentially boosting his value in the auction. Having previously played for RR and RCB, he has scored 527 runs in 40 IPL games, including 125 runs in the IPL 2024 season.

His recent performances could provide him with the momentum needed to attract the attention of IPL teams.
