Speaking to Fox Cricket ahead of the upcoming five-match Test series, Australian players such as Travis Head, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Scott Boland, and Pat Cummins were asked to name one Indian player they would like to include in the Australian team.
Mitchell Marsh picked his former Delhi Capitals teammate, Rishabh Pant, as his choice. He praised Pant’s abilities both as a cricketer and a person, highlighting his skill in batting at No. 5 and describing him as cheerful and light-hearted. Marsh also recalled their time together at Delhi Capitals, where Pant was his captain, calling him an outstanding leader and teammate.
“Rishabh Pant. Batting at No.5, he is such a good light-hearted, young fellow. He was my skipper at Delhi Capitals, he is a ripper,” said Mitchell Marsh.
While Mitchell Marsh picked Rishabh Pant, Travis Head chose India captain Rohit Sharma, pacer Scott Boland named Jasprit Bumrah, and Nathan Lyon picked Virat Kohli as the one player they would like to have in the Australian team.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy series is set to begin this Friday in Perth, with India entering the contest after a challenging home series defeat to New Zealand.
India will be without their captain, Rohit Sharma, who is missing the Test due to the birth of his second child. In addition, Shubman Gill is unavailable after fracturing his thumb while fielding during a match simulation against India A in Perth.
With Rohit out, vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah will step up to lead the team in his absence.
