‘Get Off Social Media’ – Former English Batter Gives Precious Advice to Prithvi Shaw

He has been subjected to ample criticism across social media platforms, and even Shaw has accepted that he sees all those trolls without reacting to anything.

Prithvi Shaw is going through the worst phase in his cricketing career, and his form is at an all-time low. He hasn’t been able to buy runs consistently, and failures have come more often than success.

He has been subjected to ample criticism across social media platforms, and even Shaw has accepted that he sees all those trolls without reacting to anything. Amidst all this, a former English batter has given his precious advice to Shaw on how to make a solid comeback.

Kevin Pietersen has taken to his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to post an elaborate message to Shaw, where he talked about a few things Shaw needs to work on. Pietersen asked him to get off social media and work on his fitness.

“Some of the greatest sports stories are COMEBACK stories. If Prithvi Shaw has decent people around him who care about his long term success, they’d sit him down, tell him to get off social media & train his absolute backside off in getting super fit. It’ll get him back into the correct path where past success can return. Too talented to throw it all away. Love, KP!”

Prithvi Shaw’s struggles continue in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Prithvi Shaw has continued his struggles in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and his scores have been consistently low. He has 96 runs at an abysmal average of 19.20 and a strike rate of 137.14 in five innings, with the best of 40 against Nagaland.

Shaw has registered as many as two ducks in five outings against Maharashtra and Services, showing how hard run-scoring has been for the talented batter. His scores in five innings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 read: 33, 0, 23, 40 & 0.

One aspect of his poor show has been his poor fitness, for Shaw hasn’t worked on maintaining good shape and has faced repercussions. Hence, Pietersen has advised him to work on his fitness because that is the path to success.

Shaw was touted as the next big thing when he came to the scene. If he doesn’t work on certain aspects soon, he might end as another gone case.
