IND vs AUS 1st ODI  – A ustralia Overview
andrew mcdonald australia

Andrew McDonald will be assuming role of head coach in the absence of Justin Langer

Australia come to this series on the back of some excellent performances over the course of the last year. Justin Langer has made this Australian side understand the legacy this name carries and how much it means for someone to wear those national colors. Sadly Australia will be without Justin Langer this series who has taken a well-earned break, but nonetheless Australia have a very good assistant coach in Andrew McDonald who will take control of proceedings in Langer’s absence.
Andrew McDonald is a coach who has a very good profile and is a man who puts a lot of emphasis on the numbers and has worked success with a lot of teams he has coached recently. Australia will be vary of this Indian side but they will also remember their successful tour of India last time around and how they accomplished it without the likes of Smith and Warner which will add to their belief to go and do it again.
Touring India will give Australia fond memories because when the chips were down and they were trailing 2-0 against a formidable India side at home they did the unthinkable and went on to beat India 3-2. This is where they started the resurrection and went onto reach the semi-finals of the World Cup and then retaining the Ashes in England and to cap it all of they beat a very strong New Zealand side at home. Australia are in red-hot form and probably  will feel this is their best time to face this Indian side.
IND vs AUS 1st ODI – India Overview

Rishabh Pant will be looking to make a mark in his role as a finisher

Virat Kohli and his side will have a clear picture of  what this Australian side brings to the table. After last year’s shocking series loss leading 2-0, Kohli would be looking to seek redemption and make a mark in probably the toughest assignment in this home season. India has to be careful of fatigue taking over as they have been playing quite a lot of cricket in the past few months and have a lot of congested fixtures moving forward.
One aspect India would like to pick up from their recent games is their fielding. Over the years this Indian side has gone on to become a fabulous fielding side and there has been a few lapses over the past two series in that department and knowing the high standards Kohli sets, He would be the first man to get that corrected. India would be looking to get more out of Rishabh Pant after the promise he showed against West Indies and would be hoping he gets accustomed to the finishers role in the absence of MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya.
IND vs AUS 1st ODI – Team News
Rohit Sharma will be returning to India colors after missing out on the Sri Lanka T20’S with a well earned rest. It will be also very exciting to see the return of Jasprit Bumrah in the ODI format as he would be looking to get back into full rhythm ahead of the New Zealand tour. Shreyas Iyer on the back of some excellent performances has gone on to cement his No 4 spot and will be looking to make an impressive display against the Australians. India will continue to miss Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar who are still recovering from their injuries.
