[WATCH] Rohit Sharma paybacks Mehidy Hasan Miraz by copying his celebration

Rohit Sharma's tremendous competitive nature came to the fore once again.

The Indian team recently completed a 2-0 whitewash of Bangladesh in the two-match Test series.

While skipper Rohit Sharma led his troops impeccably during the decisive second Test to force a result despite a lot of game-time lost due to poor weather, a recent video has gone viral showing his tremendous competitive nature that came to the fore during the contest.

During India’s first innings, Bangladesh spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz had outfoxed Rohit by cleaning up his stumps and then celebrating it by rotating his index finger.

It seemed like Rohit had held onto the disappointment and remembered Mehidy’s celebration as the India skipper copied it when the Bangladeshi was dismissed in the next innings.

Rohit seemed to be in a payback mode and after Miraz nicked one back to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, Rohit could be seen animating Mehidy’s celebration.

Check the video of the incident below.

India gather much-needed momentum from Bangladesh Test series win

The Men in Blue will draw considerable amount of confidence and momentum from the Bangladesh Test series win, especially with a long lineup scheduled in the longest format. They showed incredible attacking intent, a mentality that will help the Rohit Sharma-led side in their upcoming challenges.

India are next slated to host New Zealand for a three-match Test series, starting from October 16 before they fly to Down Under for the highly anticipated Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).

Notably, India have won the last 4 BGTs and will be eyeing a hattrick of wins in Australia when they travel this time around.
