Shaheen Afridi Climbs to No.1 in ICC ODI Bowling Rankings, 3 Indian Bowlers in Top 10

Three Indian bowlers remain in the top 10 despite not playing any ODIs since August 2024.

Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has become the No.1 ODI bowler in the latest ICC rankings. He played a key role in Pakistan’s historic series win over Australia, helping them secure their first ODI series victory in Australia since 2002. Shaheen’s outstanding bowling was crucial to Pakistan’s success.

Shaheen Afridi was the second-highest wicket-taker in the recent ODI series against Australia, claiming eight wickets in three matches. This stellar performance helped him rise three places in the ICC ODI rankings, moving up to the No.1 spot with 696 rating points.

Three Indian Bowlers Feature in ICC ODI Top 10

Three Indian bowlers remain in the top 10 despite not playing any ODIs since August 2024. Kuldeep Yadav is ranked fourth with 665 points, while Jasprit Bumrah has moved up two places to sixth. Mohammed Siraj is tied with Trent Boult for seventh, both having 643 rating points.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Haris Rauf has had an incredible rise, jumping 14 places to 13th with 618 rating points. On the other hand, Australia’s bowlers Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood have slipped in the rankings, now sitting at ninth and 10th after falling five and three places, respectively.

Babar Azam Remains at No.1 with Three Indians in the Top 5

In the latest ICC ODI batting rankings, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam extended his lead at the top of the ICC ODI batter rankings after scoring 80 runs in three matches against Australia, being dismissed just once.

Three Indians feature in the top 5: Rohit Sharma is ranked second, Shubman Gill is third, and Virat Kohli is fourth, despite not playing any ODIs since August.
