India were supposed to make more changes to their XI, especially including the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer, Harshit Rana, who hasn’t made his India debut yet. “UPDATE: Mr. Harshit Rana was unavailable for selection for the third T20I due to a viral infection and did not travel with the team to the stadium.”
Harshit Rana is still uncapped after the third T20I between India and Bangladesh, which is a pleasing development for Kolkata Knight Riders. This means KKR can retain him in the uncapped category, spending only INR 4 crores, ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
Given the quality of Harshit, he would have fetched a lot more in the IPL 2025 auction. Had he debuted for India, the speedster wouldn’t have remained uncapped, and KKR would have to spend a lot more to retain him.
