WATCH: Virat Kohli shouts at the stump mic; fumes after Dean Elgar DRS reprieve

A livid Virat Kohli was seen fuming at the stump mic. Whole of India stood celebrating when Ravichandran Ashwin had Dean Elgar trapped in front and the finger went up. South Africa’s review attempt seemed futile, like a lot of their DRS calls this series.

But there was a twist in the tale. The ball was pitching in line, impact was fine, but ball tracking showed the ball going over the stumps raising huge clamour on social media because, not just to the naked eye, that appeared too plumb to be not out. Until the ball tracking showed the trajectory of the ball, it looked good bye to Dean Elgar, the man that is haunting Indians and their dreams at the moment.

Kohli had been angry for a while as South Africa attempted to chase down 212 in the fourth innings. He was seen having a go at Dean Elgar and Keegan Petersen during their stand, reminding them of the 2018 Johannesburg Test and later taking another dig at Elgar, who won South Africa the previous Test in this series.

Apparently Kohli was having a go at the SuperSport crew that was broadcasting the match.
Some interpreted Kohli’s words as – “Focus on your team as well when they shine the ball eh, not just the opposition. Trying to catch people all the time”

Ashwin was also later seen having a go at the crew, saying “you should find better ways to win”.
