WATCH: Dwayne Bravo celebrates wicket with Allu Arjun’s trending Srivalli step from ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ in BPL 2022
Former West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo retired from international cricket after West Indies crashed out of the T20 World Cup 2021 before the knockout stages. The veteran is currently taking part in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2022 where he is representing the Fortune Barishal team, led by all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
Apart from his cricketing prowess, Bravo is also known for entertaining the crowd with his dance moves. On Tuesday, January 25, the Trinidadian shook a leg after dismissing Mahidul Islam Ankon in Barishal’s match against the Comilla Victorians at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
In the penultimate ball of the 18th over, Ankon tried to pull Bravo by taking the aerial route. But the batter couldn’t get proper timing and holed out to Najmul Hossain Shanto, who was positioned at deep mid-wicket. Thereafter, Bravo put forth some dance moves from the Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa: The Rise.

Bravo was the pick of the bowlers for Barishal as he finished with decent figures of 4-0-30-3. To start with, he got rid of opposition skipper Imrul Kayes, who has a truckload of experience while playing at the highest level. Then, he accounted for Ankon’s wicket after which Nahidul Islam became his third victim.
Bravo couldn’t contribute with the bat as fast bowler Shohidul Islam pinned him for a three-ball duck. As far as the match in BPL 2022 is concerned, the Victorians defeated Barishal by 63 runs and moved to the top of the points table. Barishal slipped to the bottom of the points table with a net run rate of -1.217.
After being put in to bat, the Victorians scored 158 for seven on the back of Mahmudul Hasan Joy’s 35-ball 48. Karim Janat also made a handy 16-ball knock of 29. Barishal could only manage to score 95 runs in their run-chase. Nahidul picked up three wickets for the Victorians.
