LSG star takes a magnificent diving catch on the boundary in Emerging Teams Asia Cup [WATCH]

A Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) star took a sensational diving catch during the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He is always among the safest fielders and often shows terrific efforts on the field.

Ayush Badoni, the star batter of LSG, took a fabulous catch on the boundary ropes on the sixth delivery of the 15th over. Ramandeep Singh bowled a length delivery on the leg-stump line, and Muhammad Jawadullah made some room to hit over the long-on region but couldn’t get timing.

Ayush immediately ran towards the ball, and just when it was going away from him, Badoni dived aerially and went with both hands. The ball stuck in his hands firmly, and while going down, he ensured the ball didn’t pop out of his hands to complete a fine diving catch.

The ball was travelling quickly and away from the fielder, but Badoni always looked in control and did most of the things correctly during the catch – he ran quickly, made a timely dive, and ensured the ball didn’t slip out of his hands while going down. All fielders in the team applauded his effort, and the spectators also gave huge applause as Ramandeep got his second wicket of the day.

India A registered a comprehensive 7-wicket victory over UAE

After electing to bat first, the United Arab Emirates could only score 107 in a poor batting effort from their batters. Rahul Chopra was the top-scorer with 50 runs in 50 deliveries, with the help of two boundaries and three sixes, at a strike rate of 100, whereas Basil Hameed (22) also played a decent knock.

But other batters disappointed massively and couldn’t get going in the innings. Rasikh Salam bowled brilliantly and took three wickets, while Ramandeep Singh dismissed two batters.

During the chase, India A didn’t get a fine start, for they lost Prabhsimran Singh in the first over. However, Abhishek Sharma (58) and Tilak Varma (21) formed a vital 73-run stand for the second wicket.

Later, Nehal Wadhera (6) and Ayush Badoni (12) completed the remaining job as India A completed the task in 10.5 overs. It was their second consecutive win of the tournament.
