In a comedy of errors, Jomel Warrican’s bat slipped from his hands, and Shubman Gill caught him out in a funny dismissal during the India vs West Indies 1st Test.
During the 37th over of the second innings, a funny moment occurred when Jomel Warrican was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj. Warrican tried a big shot on a back-of-a-length delivery, but the bat slipped from his hands and flew over Sai Sudharsan at short leg. The ball went to mid-off, where Shubman Gill took the catch.
Even the Indian players were smiling at the unusual dismissal, as Warrican was out for 0 runs off 2 balls.
Earlier in the same over, Mohammed Siraj executed his plans perfectly by delivering a brilliant yorker to Justin Greaves. The ball crashed onto the stumps, and Siraj trapped him LBW. Greaves reviewed the decision for an inside edge, but replays showed the yorker hitting the middle and leg stump.
