Hardik Pandya Smashes New CSK Recruit for 30 Runs in One Over [WATCH]

Notably, CSK bought the left-arm medium fast for a price of INR 2.2 crores.

Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya gave a sheer testament to his batting prowess with a quickfire knock in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) to help Baroda seal a high-scoring affair against Tamil Nadu.

In the process, Pandya decimated new Chennai Super Kings (CSK) recruit Gurjapneet Singh by slamming him for a whopping 30 runs in one over. Notably, CSK bought the left-arm medium fast for a price of INR 2.2 crores at the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) auction in Jeddah.

Pandya started with a hattrick of sixes before Gurjapneet bowled a no-ball and Pandya capitalised on the free hit with another maximum. The premier all-rounder then hit a boundary before wrapping up the over with a single.

Check the video of Pandya’s blitzkrieg in the SMAT below.

Pandya eventually went on to score 69 runs in 30 balls, laced with four 4s and seven 6s.

Hardik Pandya’s knock helps Baroda seal a thrilling last-ball win

Speaking about the match, Pandya’s explosive knock led Baroda to a three-wicket win in the end.

Pursuing a challenging target of 222, Baroda found themselves in a spot of bother after reeling at 121 for 4 when Hardik Pandya stepped onto the field following the dismissal of his older brother, Krunal.

The equation was 66 runs needed off 24 balls when Pandya decided to take on the onslaught to Gurjapneet and reduced it to 36 off the last 3 overs.

Although Hardik was run out on the first ball of the final over due to a sharp direct hit by Vijay Shankar from deep midwicket, his contribution turned out to be crucial, as Baroda successfully completed the chase on the very last ball of the game.
