CATCH OF THE SERIES! Hardik Pandya takes a superb running catch on the boundary ropes [WATCH]

He covered as many as 27 meters within a few seconds and also maintained his balance to avoid any injury after completing the catch, giving India another breakthrough.

Hardik Pandya took a sensational running catch to send back Rishad Hossain on the third delivery of the 14th over. It was such a nicely judged catch, and Hardik made it look easy, even though it wasn’t as easy.

Varun Chakravarthy bowled a length delivery, to which the batter tried playing a slog sweep but couldn’t get the required elevation. Hardik immediately sprinted to the left from the deep midwicket region and went with both hands.

While the ball was almost slipping out of his hands, Hardik showed superb reflexes and managed to hold it while going down, even though he was slightly imbalanced. After completing the catch, the momentum was taking him to the boundary, but he ensured to slide horizontally to avoid touching the boundary.

He covered as many as 27 meters within a few seconds and also maintained his balance to avoid any injury after completing the catch, giving India another breakthrough. There have been plenty of top-class fielding efforts throughout this series, but this catch by Pandya was easily the best fielding show, given he did so many things correctly, even though he had only a split second to do so.

India win the second T20I by 86 runs

After a sensational batting performance, India continued to rule the proceedings in the second innings and churned out a collective bowling show. They never allowed Bangladesh to score freely and applied pressure from every end.

After playing a magnificent knock with the bat, Nitish Kumar Reddy starred with the ball as well, snaring two wickets while conceding only 23 runs in his four-over spell. Varun Chakravarthy also bowled well and got two wickets to derail Bangladesh’s batting innings.

Other bowlers also bowled well, with all of them getting at least a wicket each to restrict Bangladesh to a mere 135/9. Mahmudullah top-scored 41 runs in 39 balls, including three maximums, but his innings wasn’t enough to take his team even closer to the target.

India registered a comprehensive victory in the second game by 86 runs. This win also gave them an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
